Six Things I Track Every Month

Every report covers the same six areas. Here’s what you’ll see:

  1. Custom Work Any changes made to your site—content updates, new features, layout tweaks. I document what was done and why.
  2. Updates All WordPress, plugin, and theme updates completed. I list what was updated and when, so you know your site stays current.
  3. Backups Confirmation that your site is backed up and restorable. This is your safety net if anything goes wrong.
  4. Uptime Monitoring Your site’s reliability percentage and response times. If there were any outages, I explain what happened and how I fixed it.
  5. Security Daily security scans, threat monitoring, and any security measures taken. You’ll know if threats were detected (and blocked).
  6. Analytics Traffic trends, popular pages, and visitor insights. Helps you understand how people use your site.

Reports go out by the 5th of each month covering the previous month’s activity.

Example: Your January report (covering January work) arrives by February 5th.

What if I don’t get it? Check spam first, then email me—I’ll resend immediately.

What if I don’t understand something? Reply to the report email and I’ll explain anything that’s unclear. These reports are for non-technical business owners, so if something’s confusing, that’s on me to clarify.

Yes! If you purchased a flat-rate website and added maintenance, you get the same monthly reports as monthly plan clients.

You still get a report. It’ll confirm monitoring was active, backups completed, and no issues were detected. “Nothing broke” is actually good news worth documenting.
